I am a second year Masters student in the department of ECE at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I am currently working with the Visual Machines Group at UCLA, advised by Professor Achuta Kadambi. Previously, I completed my Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering with Honors in Industrial IoT from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune (affiliated to SPPU) in 2020. I spent my undergraduate senior year advised by Professor Mrunal Shidore, working on VAG signal processing (undergraduate thesis).

Research

image-right

I am interested in computer vision, computational imaging, machine learning and fairness in AI. More specifically, I wish to work at the intersection of complex imaging hardware and algorithms for solving several well established problems and exploring new avenues with scope for innovation. Improving fairness in AI - especially health sensing, to conceptualize medical devices and algorithms that are fair and cater to all individuals is a major motivation for my current research. My undergraduate research focussed on health sensing for non-invasive screening of knee-joint pathology.
